Non-urgent advice: Having Problems?
GPs across the UK and those in North Kirklees have seen an unprecedented increase in demand for appointments in recent years.
Wellington House Surgery recognise the concern patients experience when having difficulty making an appointment
GP appointments will be released at 08:00 each morning; patients may book a GP appointment for the same day ONLY by telephone (01924 669960), by calling in person at either Batley or Birstall surgery.
Appointments to see the Practice Nurses for long term condition management, smoking cessation or travel advice, or to see the Health Care Assistant for blood tests, blood pressure checks or weight management, may still be booked up to six weeks in advance.
As from 1st August 2019 extended access will no longer be provided in house by Wellington House Surgery.
Instead extended access clinics will be provided at:
Broughton House HC
20 New Way
Batley
Mon – Fri: 6.30pm – 9.00pm
Sat: 9.00am – 4.00pm
Sun: 9.00am – 1.00pm
Appointments will be available with both GPs and Advanced Practitioners.
Please note these may not be with the same clinical staff you would see at Wellington House.
These appointments can be booked in advance by ringing the reception at Wellington House Surgery, 01924 669960.
We use a computerised appointments system and all consultations are by appointment only where appropriate for the doctor, nurse or midwife.
If you cannot keep your appointment please cancel it as soon as possible so that it can be offered to someone else.
We try hard to run to time but unexpected illnesses and complications can cause delays.
The receptionists will try to keep you informed.
Each appointment made is for that individual only.
Any additional persons wishing to consult a doctor should make a separate appointment.
