Online services; improving experience for Wellington House Surgery patients
Patients at Wellington House Surgery are benefitting from the online revolution now.
They can book appointments with their GP using smartphone apps or request a repeat prescription over the internet or using a smartphone. The GP online service, which is available across the country, uses a page on the surgery’s website to give patients access whenever they are online.
Many of our patients tell us that they value the convenience of making an appointment at any time day or night, or requesting a repeat prescription without having to visit the surgery. By freeing up the lines they also make it easier for patients who don’t want to use GP online services to get through by phone.
You can register for GP online services by visiting the surgery or on the NHS UK website at
www.nhs.uk/GPonlineservices

Online Appointment Booking and Online Prescription Requests
We are now offering patients a new facility to BOOK APPOINTMENTS and to request REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS directly through our clinical software system.
Patients must register for this facility by calling in person at Reception and requesting a User ID and Password. You may then use the link below to access your online record.

The practice is centred on Batley and Birstall and is part of the North Kirklees CCG (see below).
We try to offer a first class friendly service and have a team of fully trained, courteous staff in place.
As part of our commitment to the health of our patients we provide a variety of health promotion clinics that all our patients are encouraged to attend.
Existing Patients - From 1st April 2015 the surgery had a duty to allocate a named GP to all patients registered at the Practice. All Patients will have a named GP assigned to them, details of which are recorded within each patient’s medical records.
New Patients - A named GP will be allocated to all patients at the point of registration with the Practice.
The purpose of a named GP - This is purely for NHS administrative reasons. Each patient’s named GP will have overall responsibility for the care provided by the Practice. As Wellington House is a partnership our GP’s work as a team in order to accommodate the medical needs of all our patients.
It is important to remember that you are still able to see the GP of your choice (if available) when attending the surgery and this does not necessarily have to be your named GP. Wellington House believes that patient choice is very important and understands that not all patients will wish to see their allocated named GP.
If you would like further details of your allocated named GP please contact the surgery and a member of our reception team will provide you with the details.
